The Flu

Anyone get it?

Anyone get it after they got the flu shot? My two daughters are in that category.
They are a tad bitter, I'm afraid.

So far my son and the rest of us are free. So far...

(Wish us luck.)

Hope you all are healthy and warm!

  1. Sorry to hear your daughters are sick, especially after already getting the flu shot! No wonder they're bitter. Fingers-crossed that the rest of you will be safe from the flu!

  2. Be careful with that. My mom had her flu shot, and she just finished a two-week stint with the H1N2 flu (which the shott apparently doesn't cover) and pneumonia. Good luck!!

  3. EVERY time I get the flu shot I get the flu. So I stopped getting the shot about 5 years ago. This year is the first time I've gotten the flu sans shot. It was awful. Thankfully when I get sick, it's more acute than when others do, so I was horribly, chair-ridden sick for a day, spent a few days feeling "blerg," then I was all better.

    Hope you all get/stay well!

  4. Oh that sounds extremely familiar.
Mini A got it on new year's eve, passed it on to me. We've been very sick the first two weeks of January. Started to feel better only recently.
I didn't get the shot this year but my baby did which is maybe why she didn't end up at the hospital? being preemie and all.
    Sickness sucks. The flu sucks.

I hope your girls get better soon and that the rest of the family remains flu free.

  5. Stinky! But, unfortunately, the flu shot doesn't guarantee you'll be flu-free; it just ups your chances.

We are healthy here, thank goodness (all four of us did get flu shots) but certainly not warm. :-)
